1598cc, 6-speed manual. This facelifted first-generation BMW Mini is a fairly rare convertible Cooper S. Its Dark Silver Metallic paintwork remains largely free from scratches or chips, and the full-leather interior features an impressively high spec level. Equipment includes heated seats, Harman Kardon stereo, buttons on the steering wheel, air conditioning, optional Chrono Pack instruments, upgraded headlights with washers, and everything is reportedly in good working condition – apart from the mirrors which do not fold electrically. Apart from a K&N performance air filter, the car appears to have a high degree of originality, with 73,527 miles showing on the odometer.
The vendor has owned it since 2016 and kept it inside, only using it during the summer months, and we're told it has always been fun and reliable, starting well even after winter storage. In the office we have the car's handbook pack and a decent history file containing MoT certificates going back to 2013, with invoices and inspection sheets covering 2014 to 2026. The latest maintenance was in May this year, when the supercharged engine received an oil change and a new sump gasket, and the brake fluid was renewed. The V5C is also present, and the current MoT is valid to 30th April 2027.
